Valetta - the city of knights

During the sightseeing, we first visit the upper Barakka Garden, which offers beautiful views of the Grand Harbor, and then a pleasant walk in the center of Valetta. Here we see the Cathedral of St. John - Companion and the most expensive treasure of the cathedral, a painting by Caravaggio (showing the beheading of St. John). We then provide free time for shopping.

Island tour in Malta

During our full day excursion, we visit local artisans where typical Maltese handicrafts are made. Compared to city prices, we can buy various glass, silver, filigree, etc. much cheaper. products. We then visit Malta’s first city, Mdina, which locals call only the “Quiet City”. Seeing the castle wall of Mdina in the city, the IX. We fly back in a century. We will visit St. Paul's Cathedral and then we will reach a wonderful panorama to the castle wall. After Mdina, we visit St. Paul's Grotto in Rabat. At the end of the program we will travel to Most, where we will see the famous Mosta Cathedral with the 3rd largest dome in Europe. The participation fee includes the price of lunch.

Excursion to Gozo

Steam Calypso Island. Legend has it that Calypso enchanted Odysseus and kept him in delusion for seven years. Along the way, we visit Xahra, where we visit the megalithic Ggantija Temple. Local people believe that a huge goddess built the temple in a single night. On the islands, this oldest church dates back more than seven thousand years (older than the pyramids) On our way to the southwestern part of Gozo we see Dwejra, also known as the famous "blue window" (Azure Window). It is possible to sail it out with the help of small motor boats (not included in the price) .The pirates also used this stretch of coast because it was a great hiding place and harbor for them. Marsalforn (named the "port of bakeries" and the resort of the wealthier Gozoans) The trip ends in the capital of Gozo, Victoria with a view of the Cathedral and an interesting historical film. Here we also provide free time for shopping. We arrive back at the hotel via Mgarr.

Blue cave, Marsaxlokk

During the program, we reach the picturesque Blue Grotto (Blue Cave) by touching the town of Wied iz-Zurrieq, where we will board a boat and admire the exciting and colorful cave crevices (motorboat ticket is not included in the price). We then head to the fishing village of Marsaxlokk in the southernmost part of the island, where we have the opportunity to shop during our free time. In Marsaxlokk we find fishing boats, dotted with bright colors, the Luzzuk.

Thursday / Sunday - half day

Prehistoric churches

During our half-day trip, traveling in the southern part of the island, we visit 3 megalithic churches in Tarxien that were built 3000 years before our time. These churches are Malta’s most famous historic buildings that are unique in the world. We then visit Ghar Dalam, at the southernmost point of the island, where we see a thousands of years old cave in which we can see animal bones from the Iron Age (dwarf hippopotamus, dwarf elephant). Then we visit the Hagar Qim temple which is presumably BC. It was built between 3000 and 3500. The landmark of the church is that it was built exclusively of limestone and has a wonderful view of the islet of Filfla. The program starts on Saturdays.
